Finale of the Italian odyssey: The Evolutionary Alkaline Paleo diet

Is the world's population evolving or devolving?  How much is our new SAD responsible for the what I see as the world's  de-evolution? I am asking myself these questions as we are on our way home after being in Italia for the last 6 months and am sitting in Bangkok International Airport.  We just ate by necessity a rather sweet meat and vegetable dish at an airport restaurant.  Everything is sweet in Thailand it seems. Till now I thought that the Thais' have been spared the SAD results … [Read more...]

How Important Are Good Fats on an Alkaline Paleo Diet? – Very Important!

Eating enough good meat fats, butter, ghee, coconut, olive oil is very important. There is a tendency in the those who are on this program to not eat enough especially fats.  We have been told for so long to not eat much fat it's very hard for us to immediately understand that good fats are not at all unhealthy. Once we no longer have wheat and grains in our diet we tend to start eating naturally less as the addictive cravings that made us eat these carbohydrates (especially the wheat) have gone … [Read more...]

Is it Possible to Maintain Alkaline Balance on a Diet including Meat?

Here are the 13 reasons why our bodies, if given the right nutrition, will be so much more alkaline when including meat in the diet. 1.   On the Alkaline Paleo diet stress is greatly relieved.  Stress is the greatest acidifier and getting the right nutrition will calm the mind enormously.  It's been both mine and Ian's experience that stress is no longer nearly the problem it was prior to going on this Alkaline Paleo diet. By getting all of our amino acids so necessary from high quality … [Read more...]

Do We Want to Truly Heal Just Yet?

My logical mind leaves the room Some people are just not ready to heal yet,  I know, in some moments, I'm still one of these people.  When tempted by foods I shouldn't eat I still occasionally become unconscious (the "me" that has logic and reasoning has left the room!) and I  tell myself I can eat those foods and when I do, I sabotage my healing. In the last 15 or so years I became aware to some extent that I was holding onto some pattern to remain sick,  but I just couldn't, for the life … [Read more...]

Are You a Live To Eat OR a Eat to Live Kind of Person?

Looking For A Different Passion Other Than Food? I have been a Live to Eat (and drink)  kind of person... ... and changing over to a Eat to Live person has been an interesting... and challenging experience. I realised I actually needed to find my passion to fill my need for meaning instead of using food for that purpose. No more thinking constantly of what treat to make or to buy or looking in the fridge constantly to see if something have magically appeared that takes my fancy as a … [Read more...]

Italian Odyssey- Part 2

Jeepers have I been having some adventures here in Italy and now the UK. I now really know how hard it is to eat travelling if you can't afford to eat at a restaurant and can't cook for yourself. I have just visited my nephew in London and his girlfriend, Lili.   They live what is probably a typical London life in the sense they don't cook.  They eat only organic foods but the organic foods they tend to mostly eat are organic snack foods. They aren't vegetarian but I guess for them meat is … [Read more...]
